Therapy based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) can enhance learning outcomes and reduce problem behavior. Parents often seek professional behavior analysts to support their children with disabilities meet their academic and behavioral goals. However, during COVID-19 in-person service provision may not be an available choice or the best choice for you and your child. Parents and caregivers may benefit from an understanding of the analytic framework that underlies ABA to support their children. This training series aims to give parents skills that will help them support their child with challenging behavior using Applied Behavior Analysis. These skills will include: learning why their child may engage in challenging behavior, learning how to prevent challenging behavior, and learning how to react to challenging behavior. The training will be led by Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and will include a consistent small group of parents who will engage in active learning activities to develop skills. The training will be partially driven by the needs and requests of the parents included in the group.

Presenter: Stephanie Jones, M.S., BCBA
